RLCC Parent Input Sessions
RED LAKE COUNTY CENTRAL SCHOOLS ISD #2906

RLCC High School  218-796-5136                            RLCC Elementary  218-465-4222

Hello RLCC Parents,

The School Board and administration have been gathering information to help guide future decisions and possible facility improvements and additions.

We have been working with ICS-Builds, a company that specializes in providing innovative facility solutions that help to plan, build, and operate buildings. Their customized services integrate the planning, funding, construction, and ongoing operations of facilities throughout all phases of a building project.

Currently we are collecting input from as many local people that are willing to participate.  These are referred to as listening sessions.  We have completed several so far with school staff and the school board.

Our hope is to gain insight from a variety of perspectives regarding the educational vision for our district.

Now we need your input

The listening sessions are currently being done as a Zoom online meeting with questions posed, for you to privately answer in the chat box, with all answers then being summarized.   Each listening session takes about an hour and it is headed up by two educational consultants from ICS, who are also prior TRF School employees, Glenn Chiodo and Lynn Dyer.  There will be several sessions offered for your convenience, with each session allowing up to 40 participants.  These will be online Zoom meeting sessions.  These sessions will be listed with the link to connect to each session on the school website.  You will be able to choose which meeting to register for.  We will be sending out School Messenger reminders to you.

During these listening sessions YOU AS PARENTS will help to define our needs and priorities, to build consensus among the various stakeholders in the RLCC District.  Once completed the outcome deliverables will include a comprehensive report linking stakeholder needs, wants, and ideas to desired outcomes, strategies, and actions for the RLCC Long Range Plan.  This is a logical next step in the process to help the school board identify and prioritize the real needs for the future of our education and community.

ICS will facilitate Listening Sessions utilizing a Values Definition process that will gather stakeholder input.  During the workshop, participants will complete needs assessments using a variety of tools developed by ICS. The outcome of this meeting is to define a collective vision for the RLCC facilities and educational programming for all learners.

Current SCHEDULE OF PARENT LISTENING SESSIONS:
Wed April 7, 7 pm,Thursday April 8, 7 pm, Friday April 9, 11 am,Tuesday April 13, 7 pm.
