A Safe MEA Break

Parents, Students & Staff,

You have all been doing your part to help keep this covid-19 under control, which has allowed the schools to stay with the IN PERSON learning model, and this will remain as our number one goal, IN PERSON SCHOOLING.

Please continue to practice the prevention steps.

1) STAYING HOME WHEN SICK:  Self Screen at home.

2) SOCIAL DISTANCING, 6 FT AWAY, AND LESS THAN 15 MINUTES OF CONTINUOUS CONTACT

3) WASH HANDS AND IF CAN’T, USE HAND SANITIZER

4) MASKS

5) CLEAN AND DISINFECT

6) FRESH AIR-OUTSIDE vs INDOORS, HVAC SYSTEMS, OPEN WINDOWS AND DOORS.

Now that activities and sports have started to return to action for the students we look forward to another step forward, but also recognize the increased risk.  And not just the risk of contracting this covid-19, but also of being a “close contact” of a positive covid-19 test person.  So far this school year the school days missed from In Person learning & teaching has been due to being a “close contact” and then the 14 day quarantine that follows.  This contract tracing, the identification of the “close contacts” is a big reason we have been able to control the spread, and thus continue with the IN PERSON learning model.

Please keep it up and have an enjoyable, Safe, and long MEA Break.

Sincerely,

Jim Guetter, Supt.
