RLCC School Community Input Session

Monday May 10th, 7 pm

RLCC HIGH SCHOOL GYM

Hello,

The School Board and administration have been gathering information to help guide future decisions and possible facility improvements and additions at both the Plummer school site and the Oklee school site.

We have been working with ICS-Builds, a company that specializes in providing innovative facility solutions that help to plan, build, and operate buildings. Their customized services integrate the planning, funding, construction, and ongoing operations of facilities throughout all phases of a building project.

Currently we are collecting input from as many local people that are willing to participate.  These are referred to as listening or input sessions.  We have completed several so far with school staff, school board, students and parents.  Our hope is to gain insight from a variety of perspectives regarding the educational vision for our district.

Now we need & want your input

This input session will be held at the school gym in Oklee as that affords us the most room to socially distance.  We ask that you bring a “device” laptop, tablet, or smartphone as these work the best to get everyone’s responses recorded as you provide them.  However if that is not a process you are comfortable with there will be the opportunity for paper and pen responses.  And if you cannot make it and want to join via the internet/online to provide your input, that is also an option.  The link will be through a Zoom meeting and will be posted on the school’s website.  https://www.rlcc2906.org

The listening/input sessions are formatted as a Zoom online meeting with questions posed, for you to privately answer in the chat box, with all answers then being summarized.   Each listening session takes about an hour and it is headed up by two educational consultants from ICS, who are also prior TRF School employees, Glenn Chiodo and Lynn Dyer.

During this listening/input session YOU AS INVOLVED COMMUNITY MEMBERS will help to define our needs and priorities, to provide consensus among the various perspectives in the RLCC District.  All responses, from all the input groups, will be summarized in a comprehensive report that will be presented to the school board.  The outcome of this meeting is to define a collective vision for the RLCC facilities and educational programming for all learners, and to guide future decisions for the betterment of the RLCC Elementary School, High School and the communities.
