Wednesdays Schedule Change

Dear Parents/Guardians,

As a result of two executive orders (EO20-94 & EO20-95) from Governor Walz earlier this month, all MN school districts must allow more time for teachers to prepare for their distance learning students. This includes Red Lake County Central High School and Elementary School.

After much consideration it has been decided that we will be going to a half day of school on Wednesdays. This will be starting on Wednesday, December 2, 2020. These new early out Wednesdays will follow whatever learning model we are in at the time. This change will last as long as the Governor's State of Emergency orders last.

It has been difficult for teachers to dual teach with the in person and distance learning models at the same time and this will give them more time to prepare and to do the best job possible.

Previously scheduled early out dates of Friday 1.22.21 and Friday 3.26.21 will become full school days if we are still doing Wednesday early outs at those times.

Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
